Applications

Optonor utilize techniques where the object is illuminated by an expanded laser beam and imaged by a built-in camera. When the object vibrates, the reflected laser light also “vibrates”, and the object displacement modulates the laser light accordingly.  This is detected in full-field maps of surface vibrations, static deflections and internal defects in composite materials.

Vibrations can be measured real time or in numerical mode. Numerical data of amplitude and phase are recorded. The generated animations give the user a good understanding of the dynamic behavior of the object. Frequency spectra is analyzed by full field scanning.
